9 out of 10 times when you're so called ' Finalizing Discussions ' regarding a SIGNIFICANT investment and a Corporate transactions is about PRICE......, and then QUANTITY - ie percentage stake and HOW MUCH. So there are THREE main points. PERCENTAGE STAKE = PRICE x TOTAL AMOUNT OF TRANSACTION in shares or in dollars if you already know price. Where is gets interesting I guess is whether the stake / percentage constitutes some level of ' Control ' , and therefore is really tantamount to an ' Offer ' or takeover rather than a ' Material Transaction '.
Maybe they ( whoever they are ) are teetering close to this threshold and are discussing how far they would like to go or extend this , and that's what the discussion is more about.
Whatever it is , it sounds quite involved.
