Hey PASBOZ, love your work and a big admirer. However, I have completed many off-market share transfers with stocks in a trading halt and certainly when in suspension. However, my experience has been limited only to the same trading platform. (which was a pain in the ass by the way to complete the transaction/s even on the same platform)

Secondly, not sure if you are referring to "closing out a position" in relation to shorting etc, this I cannot comment on and maybe different to a standard off-market share transfer.
