China is the largest producer , Terbium is expecting great demand going forward with supply to be in deficit in next few years.
Deposits rich in heavy rare earths like Dysprosium, Terbium are less common than deposits rich in light rare earths. As a result, Dysprosium and other heavy rare metals are often more expensive than light rare earth's .

A growing terbium shortage along with its fast-increasing demand to meet various sustainable applications, particularly for electric vehicles (EVs) and wind power (nearly half in 2018)
