A ppm count with REEs is less informative than other resources as its value depends on the composition of the "basket" of REs in the clay. There is close to two dozen, some of which fetch a few hundred $ a tonne, others tens, even $100k plus per tonne. Look up definitions for MREO, LREO and HREO. Together, these will comprise the TREO. Not all baskets are equal.
on the bright side, ionic clay deposits are definitely preferable.
