Too many investors are obsessing about gaming machine regulation.

Read the comments above from the CEO, with only one of four aspects still to come to fruition. EDV is arguably ahead of the curve on at least one measure: it's the smaller licensees who may have greater problems.

Add in state governments' huge need for revenue and their forward projections, and ask yourself 'are politicians who want to get reelected going to hugely crimp a subsector that's a major contributor to state revenues?'

We also don't know (and nor does EDV) about how "discussions" in Victoria will go.

The devil can be in the detail, but that's been announced: what may occur is some tacit watering down.
