EDV's ALH Hotels tend to be more reasonably priced than competitors, but a high percentage of the cost to drinkers of a beer is taken by the Federal Labor government in excise tax.
I was astounded at a non-ALH pub last week to be charged A$7.00 for a 'glass': the smallest serving size in Victoria. The same beer is about $4.80 or so at an ALH (EDV) pub in Victoria.
