Alaska is Elephant country and the Gulf Coast and shallow water Gulf of Mexico has been intensely explored and even with the newest 3D technology there are only mainly small scraps still to be found .
OEL's foray into the deep water was an unmitigated disaster and completely crippled the business .
OEL was in the box seat to take over the Great Bear assets and do what Pantheon has done .
But they did not have the operational vision or talent to do that and went for what was easy , playing with the Big Boys as a non operator .
We all know how that turned out .
Hopefully this well will repair a small bit of the damage.
