It's a fair point you make...but a challenge of course would be the general market having access to that. Besides which, in my opinion it is unlikely to be a discernable leap in actual quality of sound (at least to the likes of me who is by no means an audiophile) - top quality audio gear is already very good if we're honest. The huge difference will be in form factor and power consumption with mobile devices (which universally have terrible quality) and form limited devices (think TVs, cars etc) the big winner there. Secondary factors like some of the other interesting applications may add spice to the mix or even really disrupt some established technologies and markets in ways we can't yet predict with any certainty.

For what it's worth I reckon the skyrocket will be lit when its available on mobiles and the difference is profound, obvious, attainable for many / most and the numbers involved are eye-watering. It may slowly creep up (and down) until then...
