I also find the SP behaviour weird. In some ways it's such a binary investment you'd expect the price to go up on good news and down on bad. Its seems to go up on an expectation of good news, and then spike up on that good news just to fall straight back down again or it just goes down if the news isn't as good as expected. There's volatility trading for the very brave I guess, virtually no secondary market...it's just a plain weird stock. I think most (myself included) are long term small(ish) holders who add to their stash when they can and hope like mad for the golden payday that may or may not be coming. trying to figure this out is a maddening exercise. For me, you're either in (in which case accumulate and hold) or you're out, in which case sell at a peak if you can spot it. Note this is all commentary, not advice...
