As I alluded to in my post above post Post #:62095303, quantum players like SQC maybe in shock about Archer’s recent announcement that it has made significant fabrication progress and is 'ramping up' its operations!
Therefore, it could be that they felt the need to do a 'PR exercise' to reassure their stakeholder’s concerns that all is progressing well. Reminding everyone of what they did in 2021 – two years ahead of schedule!
Like @Geeris says, even though both companies are at different ends of the quantum computing spectrum, a bit rivalry and competition to have some kind of 'first' is healthy for stimulating the development of this sector. This is why Australia can be considered leaders and why people like A/Professor Dr Matthew Broome is here and not somewhere else.
