A very sceptical person might view this as filling the coffers with enough cash to fund a few redundancies whilst very neatly handing over another large chunk of the company (largely worthless) and IP (cha-ching) to SIO at fire-sale prices.
Once when I was younger and desperately needed to fix the sprocket on my bicycle, I got a loan from a Russian guy named Bad Vlad who ran a pawn shop / porn shop from a basement in a bad section of our neighbourhood. His terms were waaaaay better than SIO's, and if I'd known that AHZ was in such bad shape I could have hooked a brother up. Besides, Vlad would only have come for Wayne's kneecaps when he couldn't repay - not the whole frikken company.
