They have no need to report on progress any more than they have.
A blow by blow commentary is not going to change the outcome.
Apart from cheering people up , they gain nothing from putting themselves out on limb by saying everything is terrific, even if they think things might be.

The banks could easily have pulled the pin by now , the fact that they haven't is about as much comfort as you could expect.
For me , it reaffirms the hold sentiment .
