I also thought the short life span of the options (2011 at 10cents) showed a degree of confidence, given the company's circumstances and age. I'm sure lots will argue that the oppies will never be in the money but it's an awful lot of trouble to go to have them re-issued if they don't intended collecting on them.

The million dollar question for many of us is whether or not the confidence within the board is misplaced or not.
