Just to add...
I should think that The Gambia's positive disposition toward FAR (and thus this most recent development) has been shaped, in part, by consultations between Presidents Adama Barrow and Macky Sall. Over time, FAR has cultivated a very good relationship with President Sall and Senegal. President Barrow, so far during relatively young administration, has been looking to President Sall for guidance in bringing The Gambia forward (including developing O&G) post-Jammeh. I should think FAR having the endorsement of President Sall would carry significant weight with President Barrow and his administration.
