yes my mistake, I interpreted them not needing an acid plant as meaning not needing acid. Although there is a least one Al compound that I know of that is soluble in water - which might make managing the pH for the SX process simpler.
In terms of existing HPA production, does anyone have any links to the details of the process and which Al2O3 form HPA is in?
