The 2k rate wasn't a number pulled out of the sky. That number comes from my experience with similar RFQ's and projects for small IPO'd companies I have worked on, based on EY-Advisory rates (higher than EY-P)

IMO, EY-P will send a Senior Manager (probably from Perth given the nature of FBR and the eng experience out there) for the duration of the project to act as Project Lead. The SM will engage with SME's within EY and EY-P as the project unfolds and HX is released to market. Pretty standard consulting approach. The lead Partner will only engage a couple of hours a week to reduce costs.

Big 4 consulting to MNC's or gov agency charges 25k a day because they're a bottomless pit of money in need of good advice. They can afford to pay for 3 partners and a full team for months on end.
