If this is also true for the brine when it's being transported from the extraction points to the processing plant it could also be a smart move to save on CAPEX.

I imagine a long water pipe line from the river to option B is cheaper than an extra module or 3 to compensate for those pesky iron particles.

with the local government boundaries, it also looks to be an advantage. but my understanding is that they have little say from here on out (other than a strong local voice,) as they have already re zoned our private land at Green River for industrial and mining use.
