Melua, the following is the ruling regarding the 72 hours. I value your opinion. I thought a normal initial flare test on a new hole was 24 hours. That only leaves 48 hours to really test the rig. That would allow 6 8hour test. What is the normal flare test requirements.

I) Noise.
(1) Prior to commencement of any operation on a well covered by this Order,
the operator shall establish a continuous seventy-two (72) hour ambient noise level at the
drillsite. The seventy-two (72) hour time span shall include at least one twenty-four (24) hour
reading during either a Saturday or Sunday. The sound level meter used in conducting noise
evaluations shall meet the American National Standard Institutes standard for sound meters or
an instrument and the associated recording and analyzing equipment which will provide
equivalent data. Documentation of this seventy-two (72) hour ambient noise level shall be
maintained by operator and made available to the inspector of the Office of Conservation upon
request.
