Best that I've been able to determine actual FBR shares will be traded in the US on the OTC. It is not an ADR nor an ADS. One FBR share traded on the US OTC is equivalent to one share traded in OZ on the ASX.
There is as you said a currency risk but for me buying in the US I'll be traded in US Dollars and pay no commissions. I use a broker who prices FBR on the ASX in US Dollars and when I trade does the currency conversion. It will be interesting to create a chart comparing FBR and FBRKF.
