Where do the OTC shares come from?
Does FBR issue new shares for the OTC , or are they purchased from ASX investors and transferred to the US?
Reason why I ask is that it confuses the market cap of a company.
For example, my ASX trading platform says that the MC of RIO is $47 bill, whereas Yahoo says it is over $100 bill. What is going on? I tried to go thru RIOs financials but couldn't work it out.
Anybody know?
