I live in Queensland so not sure if we build homes differently over here, but why is there an internal "structural wall" and an external brick wall yet to be completed??.

Is this standard for the way homes are built in WA - perhaps to do with cyclones and/or insulation?. Maybe an air cavity between the 2 layers of bricks to provide better energy efficiency??.

Over here we have a timber frame for the walls, and just the external brick, and plaster on the inside of the timber walls.

I would have thought that with Hadrian could also build the external brick in time perhaps - just render the outside and it's done??.
