There's no exposed slab at the rebate, in actual fact it's below natural ground level. DPC will be layed on top of one brick above the rebate to bring it below floor level. Problem is once landscaped, footpaths, paving, grass ect, installed will bring the finished ground level well beyond minimal distance between DPC and finished GL. You can clearly see the dampness around slab edge already. Oh well it will be picked up on final inspection!!

That's just water running off the slab after the rain.
What the photo does show and is not helping,
is that it will cost 50% more to build this way
and that's not including someone outlaying $2.5m.
