Where I work (manufacturing plastics) we have 10yr depreciation rules for machinery assets purchased .. $2M would be $200k p year of PnL cost , even if they machine life is 20yrs it is written down over 10 and has no capex depreciation from years 11+ ..... but other companies may have different internal rules applied
