Decimals are fine. The problem I see with the ASX is that microcap companies have to issue massive share numbers, many into the billions, just for a capital raise. If FBR was .44 cents AUS instead of .044 AUS, fewer shares would be necessary to issue in order to raise money, and the company would be seen as a more viable investment. Most Wall Street banks don't allow their fund managers to buy a stock trading at less than $10 US. That reason, added to the billions of shares traded at less than a penny to ten cents on the ASX every day, results in only a handful of AUS companies even eligible to trade in the US. So called penny stocks are looked down on by US investment media and commercial and retail investors. There are many ASX companies that would be better funded by a larger investment pool if each bid for a share was at least 5 or 10 cents over or under and if total shares issued per company was lower as a result.
