They do lease the facility in Minnesota and I agree that it's the smart move. The lease was set to expire last December so maybe the expansion was part of renewing the lease.
There is a lot of medical device assembly that happens in the area. Boston Scientific and Abbott are among the many companies that currently have assembly-related jobs posted nearby so it's a great place to find experienced people.
