I confess to being (positively) blindsided by this. While I recall they were working on an amalgam replacement I wasn't aware that FDA approval was pending.
Lots of questions. Is their IP protected/patented? This genuinely sounds like a breakthrough, possibly being uniquely suitable for some procedures.
Worst case it's a possible substitute for their declining amalgam business with a small niche new offering. Best case it's genuinely superior to current offerings and offers an opportunity to significantly grow market share with a unique/superior product.
