Not so much that there's manipulation, I think the degree to which that occurs is significantly overstated on HC, but more that the market really isn't great at pricing things. It's emotions etc which prevent the market from properly pricing companies when information does become available. Even the passive investing trend has become a big cause of inefficiency in markets
