First, I’ll apologise for using lightly punctuated writing. I thought it would be appropriate in a forum of MSB shareholders, but discovered it’s a forum of well-intended donors to not-for-profit medical research.
It’s certainly not not-for-profit for the founder/CEO, though.

Second, there’s no ‘they’, ‘them’, AI or copy-paste, nor a conspiracy to down-ramp the stock. I’m not short either, because this company is a world leader in pumping its share price.
Addressing the trials:
-even though the company’s 400 patient back pain trial showed promising data (clinically good, but commercially significant?) it wasn’t designed for FDA approval. So MSB needs to conduct another trial with shareholder money. Isn’t that strange for a company that spends $A100m per year?
-Japan sales. Sales are only to Japan because the FDA rejected the trial of paediatric GvHD, and wanted one done its accordance with its requirements. Perhaps the company will be able to convince the FDA it’s Riocel product is the same as the trial’s
-CSL’s trial has nothing to with MSB. Two failed trials don’t make a success.
-Over 20 years in and the company doesn’t have a Phase 3 trial that the FDA will accept.
-In May 2020 MSB raised A$138m for a CoVID trial of its stem cells in perhaps the most shameless opportunism in modern ASX history. Its initial 17 patient early trial with promising results happened to be conducted at the same NYC hospital that the CEO did his cardiac residency at. The Phase 3 trial failed but I suppose burning hundreds of millions was OK despite the company’s stem cells having zero history with respiratory illness, let alone success in any area.
Just as importantly, even if a trial succeeds, it doesn’t mean the therapy will be commercially successful. The data need to be compelling enough for clinicians to change their treatment regime, or the company needs to invest a lot of money in sales and marketing.
