Agree with you that the cherry is tiny and almost superfluous but still takes time and effort, and also that it should be all cake, @Led, for the patient and long suffering cake taster dribbling in front of said cake.
Apparently it was Nietzsche that said, “What doesn’t kill me makes me stronger.” So much for the cake decorating.
