The following numbers are guesstimates:Originally it was reported in 2020 that 64% (guess 27/42) using the cells had temporary weans. That is now reported as 63% (guess 26/41) "after month two" (those 3 words not mentioned in 2020).Originally it was reported in 2020 that 43% (guess 12/28) of the controls had temporary weans. That is now reported as 36% (guess 10/28) "after month two".The number of people in the MPC group appears to have dropped by 1 in the recent figures - maybe that person was not followed through to completion of the study. It could be that the drop of two "weaners" from the control group died in the first 2 months and so their temporary weans are no longer counted, or that weans in the first two months are no longer counted, but they are still in the study numbers. We do know that of the original 159, only 155 completed one year of followup, so 4 dropped out of the study - it looks like 1 of these may be an ischaemic MPC recipient and the rest may be in the non-ischaemic group.Deaths in months 2 to 12 in the ischaemic group are now listed as 4.9% (guess 2/41) using the cells and 26.9% (guess 7/26) of controls. The difference between 26 and 28 in the control group may be 2 controls who died in the first 2 months.The original trial was randomised 2:1 Cells:Controls, but that ratio looks more like 42:28 just in the ischaemic group (ie 1.5:1) vs 64:25 in the non-ischaemics.If so, a lot of the cells appear to have been wasted on the non-ischaemic group.
