I don't think there is any problem with going about it the way that MSB have,
They are starting to get repeated trends already between trials, and the signals are big, along with the efficacy.
Highly,highly. highly unlikely both CHF phase 2 and phase 3 managed to do what they did with a null hypothesis. Both trials had massive reduction in heart attacks / stroke and cardiac death..... if I recall the exact phrase used by the investigator was " maybe we got lucky" ...... Then they repeated the exact same signal in a much bigger trial that ran for much longer........ Sounds pretty solid to me.
If FDA offer accelerated approval.... well they did so well nobody expected it.
