In answer to your question about tuning. My take is that it is a combination is tweaking many variables together to get the right assay conditions. Getting the right combination in many parameters concerning beads, surface, antibodies, blockers and all other assay parameters in happy agreement with the magnetic field actuation program.

I suspect that if beads and surface can be loaded with antibody that has enhanced orientation and a higher % of undamaged antibodies, compared to what they are used to dealing with (our multiple advantages ), that the binding will occur faster, and the magnetic actuation process may well be tuned to speed up the assay and subsequently = faster diagnosis. The device was not taking tuned towards taking advantage of our advantages... if that makes sense.
