Ann: Federal Court Decision Favours Moreton Resources, page-2

Moreton Resources Limited (ASX:MRV) (“the Company”) is pleased to advise the market of a Federal Court ruling, which was handed down yesterday, upon 25 July 2019 in the matter of Moreton Resources Ltd v Innovation and Science Australia.

The Federal Court has considered the appeal of Moreton Resources Limited, and found in favour of the appeal by Moreton Resources Limited, and as such have determined the prior decision of the Tribunal, is to be set aside and the matter remitted to the Tribunal for determination according to law. Whilst the Court has made its decision upon the basis of law and issues pertaining to the application and interpretation of the law, the Full Bench in their decision made additional comments regarding broader matters, as points of observation, which are in keeping with Moreton Resources Limited views and opinions, expressed in the initial Administrative Appeals Tribunal hearing.

The Company sees this development as a significant step forward in not only an effort to bring this matter to a close, but also assist the Company focus its efforts on moving into sustained production and advancement of its multiple projects. The matter is by no means resolved as yet, however the findings and the observations have left the board feeling vindicated in the pursuit of this matter and certainly looking forward to resolving the matter, be it at an AAT hearing or through prior negotiation with Aus Industry.
