remember that the board needs to look at positive outcomes for the shareholders and this can be competing interests - short term / long term.
When the trucking deal was done they didnt have the cash to do it themselves so a JV was a good option - that has changed so the now good option is to set up for the next x years - buy out the downstream supply chain is an idea and thats ok by me
