excuse my ignorance, but would the "loss" to Mac no depend on the type of hedges involved?in a collar hedge (if my memory serves me correctly) the buyer of the hedge is paying a small premium for a option to go perform the hedge at the time of transaction. which means if they are in the money they take the full value of the hedge but if they are out of the money they lose the premium only and do not actually lose the full value of the loss on the hedge.unless this is only for FX hedges and i have it completely wrong, but happy to learn if you have a minute.
