I'm not sure what jobs people are having here, because it's extremely baffling for me when people are very ok with the fact that a notice of delay is served AFTER the deadline. I might get so fired if I tell my boss after the deadline that I won't be able to meet the deadline, and that I will get it done "in coming months".
The mentality that we are going to x5, x10 seems to rationalise all these delays and make deadlines mean nothing. "Why the fuss" if it's going to increase.
Hopefully they deliver this time around. One more delay and/or a sudden CR will destroy the limited reputation and trust this company has left.
