FFT receives contract for major South East Asian telco

Perimeter protection contract for FFT Secure Fence valued at A$426K

Additional software and services order following deployment valued at a further A$100K

Opportunity for FFT solutions to be deployed at other sites for same customer

Future Fibre Technologies Limited (FFT) (ASX: FFT), a global leader in fibre optic perimeter intrusion detection systems, has secured a perimeter protection contract valued at A$426K.

FFT Secure Fence will be used to protect telecommunications infrastructure at several small critical telco sites in South East Asia, with an additional software and services order for the project to follow in 1QFY18 valued at approximately A$100K.

Commenting on the announcement, FFT Chief Executive Rob Broomfield said, “FFT’s comprehensive range of fibre optic solutions, strong capability for networking multiple sites, and flexibility for monitoring options is proving key to securing complex infrastructure projects across multiple sites. This is common to both the utility and telco sectors.

In relation to this specific project, the successful installation of our perimeter security systems on similar infrastructure in the region factored positively in the customer’s decision to award FFT the contract.”

Additional infrastructure owned by the same customer is expected to require similar security upgrades to over 20 additional sites during the next 18 months.
