FGR's method is currently lab scale and are looking at building a larger pilot plant with a petroleum company.
NVX already has a 500t capacity and is expanding its production, they also have offtake agreements for part of its supply.

If you are a forward thinker, you will see FGR will secure a petroleum company who is looking to diversify away from producing petroleum and enter into the battery supply chain to produce high purity synthetic graphite, which has been forecast to require 1-2 mill tonnes of Graphite per year.

I am keen to see the data from FGR, on the cost of production of synthetic graphite and the amount of Co2 produced, it is likely this method will be lower cost and produce lower Co2 than existing synthetic and natural graphite methods.

I haven't been following, but I thought both FGR and Talga were natural graphite producers? Whatever happened to the mine in Sri Lanka?
