There's simply no reason hydrogen will ever win out against batteries, many here have made particularly compelling points and you seem to have not done much by way of research.
I'll condense some points made by @Whatsamadoovie and@Kep1.
Battery recycling is not currently that expensive, and will become less and less so because there is one thing you're correct on;
Earth has limited minerals.
There are many companies working on battery recycling with great success, and there is absolutely no way we will be reliant purely on mined resources even 5 years from now.
The other thing is the energy loss inherent in hydrogen conversion to electricity. No more need be said than that it isn't feasible except in huge vehicles where we're still a way from a battery with an energy density sufficient to match the range of a diesel truck, let alone surpass it, given the extreme weight.
Those I mentioned above have done their research, you seem to have paid no attention. You're telling people batteries won't work in the 1000 generations ahead of us when even in the next hundred we likely won't be reliant on earth's minerals at all, because they'll be spent and we'll be mining other planets and recycling pretty much everything that goes into a battery, we're already almost there insofar as recycling goes.
