what is missing (and presumably this is not due to omission given their focus on recurring revenues in investor calls) is linking these to ongoing recurring revenues
this imo is a real miss because each year they need to knock and doors and sell product (as they have done with the 1000s of installations in the past), but what would be easier it to take less margin upfront and build in a monthly/quarterly/annual software (&perhaps even a hardware) upgrade cycle that generates ongoing revenues and locks that client in for longer
having said that, their margins on these contracts are not great either (the exception was IMOD which was all given out to a 3rd party)
anyway, on Ava it seems you have to be (extremely) patient....its got enough cash so that it won't go bust, but it seems like it will never blow your socks off either.....still waiting for that $50m Aura IQ opportunity Rob!!!!
