"to win we have to find the motherload"
I think if someone only invested 1k in it, they would need the motherlode to make a meaningful profit, but for investors that bought 10k or 30k or 50k worth etc, they only needed some ok news, eg a decent body of 2% copper and the sp would do something useful.
Thats from more an active trading point of view of course, but not everyone is a long term holder hoping for the big time.
