The signs are obvious. Unless you're an ostrich.
As for 'new' directors.
You know that's actually a pretty lucrative job right? It happens all the time.
Have a good reputation and standing. Be a director for 4 or 5 companies.
Sign a few documents a month for each. Get paid $2-$3k for each.
It's actually a little risky because it can screw your reputation.
But I know someone who did it. And some companies never paid. And he walked when he saw the writing on the wall.
