ANOTHER CARDNO LOSS - SPEAKING of exits, it looks like another senior executive at embattled Cardno has jumped ship after just two months on the job. Our sources say Todd Wager, the Florida-based chief operating officer of the infrastructure consultancy group, is the latest to fall on his sword. Boss Richard Wankmuller resigned suddenly last month after little more than a year on the job for unspecified “health and family” reasons. That followed the Brisbane firm’s whopping $176 million net loss in the year to June.


It sure looks like private equity mob Crescent Capital, which now controls more than 40 per cent of the company, is taking a broom to the top executive ranks. Cardno’s chairman Michael Alscher declined to comment this week. Oddly enough, that evasion coincided with the company taking down the website page listing its senior people.
