Partial blame needs to be placed at the doors of ASIC. They've done nothing to protect you.
Go to the NZ companies register and see how easy it is to find out what N Featherby is involved in - and then try and do the same at the ASIC site.
I note that abc.net.au interviewed ASIC's Warren Day in 2017 and he said "we are doing everything we can..." - except keep up with NZ it seems.
