I assume it was a decision of HP primarily. Hopefully, they'll bring someone experienced similar to when they replaced the MD in CMM back in the days.
After the Mt Ida lithium fiasco and the ongoing dilution, I expected this move for months, but now that they have a bit of breathing space after the last CR, they finally pulled the trigger.
