I believe Peter has been around since the FNT days. A quick check and I saw he hasn't signed off a tech report for quite some time. I would speculate that Langley has assumed that role and therefore Peter's role may be somewhat redundant. It is also quite possible that Peter isn't as interested/qualified/whatever in REE and Lithium.
As you said TeachM - one less mouth to feed isn't a bad thing - so long as the mouths still being fed are legit and adding value.
