A good example of mining low grades profitably in an open pit is Beacon Mining (BCN)
BCN has a resource of about 140,000 ounces. BCN mine in an open pit and consider anything above 0.7 g/tonne economic. I was in BCN until recently.
BCN established a new mine and gold processing plant for about $20m and commenced production about two years ago.
Should Camel Creek have a resource of 250,00 ounces or more I think it is highly likely GNM will become a gold producer.
Despite the SP gyrations I think GNM is worth more than a punt.
