I'm not disputing that they took the drug and lived longer.
What I'm saying is that... based on standard practice in science and stats, you cannot say that the treatment was the reason.
Researchers can use whatever p-value they want to determine significance. What has happened here is that they would've been completely screwed if they used .05 (international standard) and it showed "no difference", which is exactly what these results show.
So they randomly decided to use .10 or .66 and added on the term "statistically significant".
I'm not disputing that they took the drug and lived longer. What...
