Take a company, or two or three, with promising technology, stack it with the best and the brightest in their field (and that really impresses the shareholders) and be sure to take plenty off the table while the hype is strong. Anything after that is a bonus. Sure, he wants his company's to succeed, but from a purely personal viewpoint he's already made millions from this strategy. We console ourselves with talk of share price manipulation and the price being deliberately, and incessantly suppressed and "big things" coming. The world of big pharma is actually quite small and one has to wonder whether the "dance partners " of two years ago are still on the dance floor.
