it's negative rate considering inflation is at much higher levels. but then again I doubt they could have get better rates without lending the money to someone who will never paid them back and end up only collecting couple of interest payments.. lol

But this is where many investment houses have issues with ALK. Nic himself said he's been asked so many times why seating on all that cash. These funds lose value when not deployed while inflation is so high.

Look from this point of view - how much would have cost to drill 3-4 extra holes per quarter targeting rest of the Molong prospects compared to drilling those same holes now? And what would have been the additional benefits - Nic would have been better armed for his overseas trip.

I like to focus on positives but if shareholders keep letting management off the hook then there is no need or desire to improve.
